First quarterly update of key alcohol indicators

On 21 November 2022 the Alcohol Policy in the Northern Territory website was launched containing data on key alcohol-related indicators in the Northern Territory.

These seven key areas show trends in alcohol related indicators over the last decade. The indicators include:

  • Consumption of Alcohol
  • Alcohol-induced deaths
  • Alcohol-related assaults
  • Alcohol-related serious road injuries and deaths
  • Alcohol-related emergency department presentations
  • Drink driving
  • Domestic violence alcohol-related assaults

These indicators can provide useful context for the work the Northern Territory Government is doing to reduce alcohol-related harm for Territorians.

This data will be updated quarterly in order to provide a transparent and up to date source of information on alcohol-related indictors.
